Geek out Monday

Currently watching The Andromeda Strain with the hubs. I remember when we were engaged and he lived in a small efficiency behind my grandpas and there was all this hype about this mini-series. We're finally watching it 2 years later since we requested the DVD from Netflix.



By the way, can I just gush about how much I love Netflix. For someone who doesn't have cable and who watches little to no TV (see previous entry) it's great for instant movies and DVDs. I love that I can catch up on A LOT of movies and TV shows that I always hear so much about. For instance, my brother turned me onto Damages. I haven't finished watching the first season yet but it's good. I've been hearing a lot about Dexter and have yet to watch any episodes so I need to start that series soon too.


Tomorrow we're planning to go over to my friend Melissa's house for a couple's night in. I'm hoping that it pans out but the plan is to make a bunch of snacks and desserts and play our band hero. Joseph says he's going to make cherry vanilla fudge and I was thinking of taking some spinach dip and cucumber slices. I need to think of a couple more snacks to make. We'll have the munchies all night!

Mom should be back in town any time now. I'm sure their dogs will be happy to see them. I house and dogsat Thursday through Saturday while my cousin watched them yesterday and today. The Jack Russel Terrier is named Quick and the Rat Terrier/Mutt is named Dot.
