Weekend Trip

This weekend out of town was much needed. We spent time with my stepsister and met up with friends. Friday when we got into town we hit up a comic book shop for the hubs to geek out in and then met up with my stepsister at one of the malls. I shopped and bought a couple of tops and necklaces.

Friday night we went to see the Monty Python double feature of The Quest for the Holy Grail and Life of Brian. I have never seen any Monty Python movies but since J is a big fan i've heard some of the silly things from the movie. The movie, I thought, was pretty stupid. I guess that's supposed to be the point? However... it's not my type of humor. During the first movie I found it pretty annoying at the various people reciting lines to the movie and then bursting out laughing. Ruined the watching of it for me BECAUSE of how annoying they were.. and then of course the odd humor. Oh well, it was for J.

Saturday night we stayed in a nice hotel. King bed room on the 8th floor with a balcony. The view was nice and the room relaxing. I booked it with a bed & breakfast package so we received a $40 breakfast credit and late check out. That night we went out to a bar that's on the fourth floor of an old mental hospital with my friend Dee and my friend Michelle and her husband Jay. In the morning we ordered room service and enjoyed a tasty breakfast as we lounged until it was time to check out at 2pm.
